This ongoing project tangentially developed from exploring Greeble Gobble. While informed by the same technique, mode, and theory, the aesthetic feels incongruous with my collection of "Greebles." "Chromes," is essentially a developing series of flower paintings. I liken them to having been made from the perspective of an alien, otherworldly, or non-human entity, attempting to understand and communicate observations of earthly nature. while the underlying narrative is shrouded by ambiguity, I am continually drawn to its mysteriousness and embrace its dreamlike nonsense. (The name, "Chromes," is a direct reference to the palette as well as pigment. These were painted in using a metallic, colour-shifting pigment. While traditionally this is a colour choice that arguably lacks taste, the aesthetic is nostalgically reminiscent of analogue, metal-plate photography)

Love the new artwork in my office and living room. It lifts us up everyday, acts as a conversation piece in Zoom calls, and we love the most being able to support artists in our communities as well.
